The girls attending the all day activities are: Patricia Murphy, Ellen Heffran, Kathleen Doyle, Kathleen VanAusdall and Susan Bonzi. The group was ac- companied by Sister Ann Stephan- le and Sister Rosalia Marie. Band Elects Officers Memb.ers of the band elected of- ricers for the coming year. They are: president, Pamala Ahles; vice president, Patricia Mull!n; recording secretary, Mary Hag- gerty; assistant directors, Mary the Country Life and Mutual In- surance Co. The demonstration took place on a street near the school. The purpose of the dem- onstration was to show the dis- tance required to stop a vehicle at various speeds. The car used in the safety demonstration was a 1961 Chevrolet with a detonator and sound equipment attached. The detonator was used to show the distance traveled while the driver is moving his foot from the accelerator to the brake, and the distance "that it takes to stop the automobile once the bi:ake is ap- plied. Assisting in the demonstra- tion were Kay Murphy and Jim Kagan, Seniors; Miss Patricia Berner, school secretary; Mr. Jo- seph Grimm, of the English de- partment; and a representative of the State Police.
