Many of our youngsters gathered around the T.V. sets to witness this im- pressive occasion. One by one the mystic ceremonies were per- formed. How deeply impressed were our youngsters, knowing that their priests at St. Vincent's share this power, and ever hope- ful that our two seminarians, Rev. Mr. Mike McKinstra and Mr. Bob Willhite, will be so privileged in a short while. Our boys and girls were especially interested because one of the newly ordained is a relative of two of our children, who were permitted to attend the ordina- tion, Another occasion of local in- terest commanded attention on Sunday afternoon. S!x little girls and five boys, attired in whiJm pay and gown, received th~ certificate of graduation from Kindergarten. The commence- ment exercises included a love- ly playlet called "The Most Im- portant Call." Sunday evening the older chil- dren enjoyed "Riders To The Stars," a science fiction movie about outer space. On Tuesday, Memorial Day, the Drum and Bugle Corps pa- raded with the Freeport Legion and V.F.W. In the evening the children, residents of St. Jo- seph's Home, Sisters and priests marched in pious procession to the "Grotto of Our Lady," where Patricia Edge placed a crown on the statue of our Blessed Mother.
